I dont know why I rated this a 4/5. Thus book definitely deserved a higher rating.
Riar is my favorite FMC out of all Lily Gold books. And I say that knowing there’s one more book I haven’t reread yet. She is so incredibly fiery and strong. She quite literally takes no bullshit, she’s made a career out of it.
Briar had been dealt a terrible hand. As an actress living in that kind of world can really take a toll on you. People refer and believe you to be a brand, a product instead of a person. She’s been subjected to bouts of manipulation, harassment, lies and some much more. She has had to occupy this persona of being the biggest Bitch in the media as a way to protect herself.
When her home gets broken into by her stalker in this story labeled X, she’s approaching her breaking point. Her security was disgustingly horrible and almost allowed X to break into her house, ejaculate on her bed with her still sleeping in it, and her security felt no remorse. As did the police, because it had to be a publicity stunt.
In comes Kenta, Matt and Glen. So tragically handsome in different ways. Glen, a scarred man with a delicious Irish accent; Kenta, an East Asian man with the of a monk; and Matt, the mentally scarred man with am, dare I say brat gamer streak.. yeah that’ll be fun to read.
This story progresses as X’s stalkerish behavior becomes public knowledge and he gets more and more drastic with his.. “approaches.” This book is romance with suspense, and I love that author touches on the ideas that celebrities just aren't viewed as people way to often in media. Highly recommend this book and all of Lily Golds books. Oh and the spice…. Of course top tier as is the usual from Mrs Gold.
