Tristan Strong Destroys the World by Kwame Mbalia

3.0

This second book was better and worse than the first in different ways. It was much better paced without the burden of doing so much worldbuilding, but in the first book that wasnt established well enough so it still feels weak. Some of the characters were still more flat than they should have been. This whole series just seems like it should be larger and cleverer than it is. The times that it tries to build tension before a reveal all feel anticlimactic. The plot feels so insubstantial that I somehow forget everything thats happened by the time I get to the end.
