I found this book hard to get through.  I mean, yeah, it is a classic, but there are countless examples of limited western thinking throughout the book.  Racist, prideful, and ignorant; are only a few ways that the narrator can be described (since they take no place as a protagonist).  I would say Moby Dick is a subpar version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, so read that instead.
