It didn't go as far as I was expecting, but it was a thrilling read. There's a lot more to the story than gets passed around by word of mouth, with twists and strong sideplots. The temporal and spatial setting of the novel is well-explored, well-researched and is used in such effect with the rest of the novel. A heart-warming tale of more than you'd expect...
