Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong

4.0

I’m going to give this a 4.25 rating. I enjoyed this book a lot, but it was hard not to compare it to Chloe Gong’s first duology and the magic that one captured. This one had murder, but it wasn’t gory like in the previous duology, which is one reason I loved that series so much tbh. Also, spy stories don’t normally do it for me, but this at least kept my interest. I don’t think I would’ve been as invested if Rosalind wasn’t such an intriguing character. The surprise twists towards the end have, of course, ensured I’ll read book #2.
