Red Rope of Fate
by K.M. Shea
This book was fun. Nothing too serious here, all the problems get resolved far too easily, but... it's fluffy and fun. And FUNNY. Most humorous books don't appeal much to me, but this book managed to keep the tone just right throughout, light enough that the humor seemed appropriate instead of jarring, serious enough that you could actually pay attention to the plot. It was funny enough that I smiled several times and actually laughed at that one scene....
Also. Humorous audiobook was just the right thing for keeping me alert on a ridiculously long drive. How long? I began and finished the audiobook during the drive, and took some breaks from listening during the trip. That long.

The drinking scene. Hilarious perfection. Not only for how it was written but for how many other things the author COULD have done, that I have read in other stories, but aren't nearly as funny. This was completely ridiculous and yet utterly believable. Just right for this story.Also. Humorous audiobook was just the right thing for keeping me alert on a ridiculously long drive. How long?
