Don’t come for me ya’ll but I did not care for this book. It came so highly recommended in a book group I am in but I just did not like it. I love a good Peter Pan remake, ehh scratch that I love a good Hook remake (you know… dark brooding “villain” who turns out to be misunderstood with a heart of gold). Well if you are also looking for that run the other way. Hook was not a redeemable character in my eyes. This book was smutty and violent for the shock factor IMO.
Head ups this book as quite a good amount of graphic sexual encounters.
The whole she is a daddy’s girl, her dad doesn’t really give a sh*t about her so now she has daddy issues thing didn’t do it for me. Wendy falling for James felt a lot like Stockholm syndrome-y to me. The end I didn’t feel like the characters really changed I feel like she just decided she was like
Meh oh well my dad was bad too.

Full disclosure because I am clearly
Damaged I will most likely read the other books she has out because I heard they get better and I really do love a good dark Disney remake…
