Decided to read this sequel to get the tiny bit of context mentioned in Thief Knot (which is supposed to be stand-alone in the same world, but the first pages referenced this one too much for me to not read it without this one). Kate Milford always write in a very easy and enjoyable way, so its hard to dislike, but I thought this plot was so jumbled and all over the place. Still going to read Thief Knot but maybe with a book or two in between!
