Despite Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow being a story about two friends producing a video game together, there is much more to the story. This book addresses so many different topics: friendship, relationships, romance, sexuality, politics, sexism, mental health and much more. To me, it felt like I was reading three different books in one.

Especially the chapter VII NPC, felt like a completely different story. It was such a cut in storytelling and a shift in writing style. It made one think of the book in terms of before chapter VII and after it.

In general, I liked the writing style and the pace of the story, even if in parts side quests felt like they were out of the storyline.

The characters were multi faceted. It made me a little mad that many conflicts could have been avoided or resolved, if the characters just spoke to each other, but in the end, that made the characters feel more realistic to me.

It also made me appreciate the artistic aspect of game design and it motivated me to resume playing some video games that I haven’t picked up for a while.
