I don't understand the obsession with mediocre young adult fiction (I'm looking at you Meyer/von Ziegesar) when there's actually solid writing out there like the Traveling Pants books. I just re-read the whole series, and I'm sticking to the opinion that Brashares is brilliant at character-driven plots and internal dialogue.
