norabark 's review for:
Brave New World
by Aldous Huxley
yeah, sure, interesting to analyze for literature reasons because it was a big deal when it came out.
but my god i am so glad i am done and never have to read this again. i knew going into it that it was going to be wild and horrible but that was wild and horrible. the racism in this book is so heavy handed it makes everything else seem less insane, and honestly, just makes the experience of reading this book exhausting. really ran the prejudice gauntlet. "it's a satire!!" yeah, in the way that teenage boys use dark humour as an excuse to be racist and sexist??
this doesn't even deserve a star rating rn because it is so odd to even try to rate whatever the heck that was
