The Four Legendary Kingdoms by Matthew Reilly
3.0

warning: this review is a bit all over the place- but that's kinda how I feel after finishing.

I absolutely love the Jack West novels, smashed through the first three in no time... and I think that was where my disappointment for this one comes in. So much anticpation around this book, only to be left....Not even sure how to describe this current state...

This is the book smack dab in the middle - the link between the first three and the last three to come. That's unforuently how it read also.. it was the admin book.

Jack West and Scarecrow are
both super strong series, with really powerful characters. Combining all that together just came up short and left me wanting more. Separately these series keep me on the edge of my seat, but this one I just sat back and leisurely read. Don't get me wrong it still had its unexpected surprises and twists for how are they getting out of this mess.. but i just feel lost, in my normally energised state after reading any Matthew Reilly book.

I still have high hopes for for the next three books and can't wait to read them.
