Every time I think I've read the most wonderful children's book thst I would have killed to have had as a child and every time I think my little Queer heart has been fit to burst with emotion, I am bowled over by another one.
This book is unbelievably beautiful, diverse, lyrical, whimsical and fun in such a gorgeously natural and fun way.
A young boy sees a incredible dress in a second hand shop window and falls in love with it, imagining the various exciting people who may have worn it, and the saves up all his money to maoe his dream of owning and wearing the dress come true...
I nearly bawled my eyes out when I finsiehd this.
Truly something special that will make gender nonconforming kids feel loved and validated, and will teach others empathy and understanding.
This gets a full 21-bouquet standing ovation!
