The White Queen by Philippa Gregory
4.0
As I was reading, I felt that she undid a lot of Jacquetta’s positive qualities and made her seem more greedy and cold. Still a great story. Elizabeth, The White Queen, is the mother of the ‘Princes in the Tower’ which is a fascinating historical legend in itself. As always, the storytelling is compelling and engaging. Just wish Jacquetta’s character wasn’t painted in such a different light than she was in the first book-plus her exit from the story is so abrupt I wasn’t even sure it happened. This is such a sad story. What an awful time to be alive!
