“And just so you know, there is no greater show of love than someone bringing you food without being told.”

Dr. Briana’s world is spiraling, her divorce is finalizing, her brother is in kidney failure waiting for a donor, and she’s got to fight a new doctor for the promotion she wants. She’s almost ready to throw her hands up in the air and give up when the most gorgeous man in the world walks into her world at the hospital. Little did she know that this was the doctor that all the nurses on the ward are miserable about. Dr. Jacob Maddox has social anxiety, and the woman that just broke his phone is beautiful, how can he ask her “out loud” to fix it and not fall into a complete and utter mess in her presence.

“Jacob made me feel safe. He was like a living lullaby. A softly spoken word. The smell of coffee and toast in the morning or a cozy fleece blanket. The rain pattering on the roof on a day where you don’t have to go anywhere or do anything.”

Dr. Jacob Maddox is absolutely my new book boyfriend, don’t tell my husband. I was finishing this story in traffic this morning *cackling*. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of huge emotional moments in this book, but I loved the laugh out loud moments, most of them came from the letters these two started writing to each other. The support that they gave to one another, without the other realizing it, just made my heart thump. Completely and utterly in love with this author’s writing.
