Naked Girl by Janna Brooke Wallack was a treat for me this month. A heartfelt, character driven, literary breath of fresh air. I’ve never rooted for two characters more than siblings Sienna and Siddhartha Jones, following them around 1980s Miami Beach. If you’re looking for a book that will pull you through the full spectrum of emotions, this is it. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Scenes that stick with me are the boat scene with Jackson when the kids find a tent on shore to sleep in with their aunt; the barn with Sienna and the cowboy (shocking); Siddhi wearing the Santa beard
