I must say that I have read books set in similar worlds, where the kids with special powers are all in an evil institution, they rebel, the institution or the government are tracking them down etc. It has all been done before. But I did like this book. I thought the characters were well done and I really liked the POV character Dez. I thought she was spunky and fun and I liked her interactions with Kale. All in all quite enjoyable
