The King's Assassin: The Fatal Affair of George Villiers and James I
by Benjamin Woolley
challenging
dark
informative
slow-paced
As with any book set in 1600s England, too many names, too many titles, too many moving parts. However, this understanding of the demise of King James and the Villiers family is nonetheless fascinating to me. As someone with an Elizabethan/Victorian/Tudor monarchy guilty pleasure, I ate this right up. Really looking forward to watching the mini series on Starz now!!
