This was my second attempt at listening to an E.M. Forster novel. I gave A Room with a View two stars for the same reasons as this one: the reading is great, but this one probably needs to be read to be appreciated. The audiobook felt like a collection of vignettes in a family drama, some of which were then brought together in the end. And of course the story and depiction of class and gender was interesting from a sociological perspective, but I just couldn't get into the characters. Ah well...
