I loved it until the ending, and I think it's because I would have preferred it as either a single story or a different direction. I can't pinpoint when exactly I turned on the book - it might have been the last page, honestly. However, it was a rollicking good time, creepy throughout, and had really good character building esp. through Gideon as the main focus.
