Please Join Us: A Novel
by Catherine McKenzie
Wow, this book just reached out, grabbed me, and didn’t let go until the end. There was suspense, bad people, and an ending that threw me for a loop. I didn’t see that coming!
Nicole, a lawyer, gets some bad news at work. Her career is advancing the way she would like. Soon after, she receives an invitation to join a women’s networking group. Despite the fact that its practices are unconventional, Nicole agrees to join and soon reaps the benefits of membership. However, it all comes at a cost that she is unwilling to pay.
The pace of the book is quick, and I couldn’t put it down. There was just enough detail to carry me through the twists and turns, but not so much as to drag the story down. I highly recommend this!
Thank you Edelweiss and Atria Books for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased and unsolicited opinion.
