Killing Floor by Lee Child
3.0

Plot was pretty decent, and the narration was good, keeping the pages turning.
The protagonist Jake Reacher is just another Hollywood style hero with easy going tough guy attitude. Like every hero he gets away from murders and crimes which is kinds frustrating.
Ignoring logical errors, would make this book a decent read.
But few logical errors are frustrating like,
Jack trust the Chief of detectives Finlay because the mayor hired him thinking he is an idiot (since he needed an idiot). But it was later revealed Finlay's friend Picard is also involved in the crime. Upon knowing Finaly is being interviewed for the CoD post, he had warned his friend to stay clear of the town. But Finlay ignored his friend and get interviewed and got the post. So, the problem is the Antagonist gang require an idiot as CoD so their crimes would be overlooked. Wouldn't Picard have told the major that Finlay is his friend and an intelligent Harvard guy? avoiding their crimes being exposed?  And some crazy coincidence, the hero is travelling all around the America and he happens to "walk" by a place where his brother who he hasn't seen for 10 years is killed and to top that the hero is being charged for the same murder! </spolier>
The series being 20+ books, now having second thoughts about continuing the series.
