I was hoping that the main character would get better in this book. Unfortunately, I can't say that she did. She continued to make decisions that just made you want to throw the book across the room. 

Even worse was the love interest. Kiran and Eden had an insta-love situation that began in the first book. It was annoying that

she continues to be ridiculously in love with Kiran even though his entire family seeks the demise of the immortal race

Not to mention the fact that Kiran is betrothed... any involvement is cheating and they simply pretend it isn't. Her obsession with Kiran and their love makes no sense to me. 

I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. Only rated it a 0.75 because I do enjoy the premise of the magic system.
