I waited a long time for this book to come out. I almost didn't remember where we left off all those years ago, but was easily drawn back in. I guess the first book left a better impression on me than I thought. This book continues on the SEAL's team search for who was behind the attempted attack and killings from the first book. As soon as the team gets a few steps forward they are slammed with more obstacles. Without giving too much away, the book was fast-paced and filled with action. While we seem to be closer to getting answers more things are now standing in their way. And we are left with a doozy.

The romance seems almost secondary to the story, but I was okay with that. We find Cosky injured from the events of the last book and him seeking help from Kait. She is the sister of a fellow SEAL member and she has the ability to heal with her touch. Kait and Cosky met briefly years prior and they both "felt" something at that meeting that has had Cosky avoiding her like the plague. But never being able to be part of his team again has him putting aside his feelings and going to her for help. Going to her, while another brief encounter, puts her in the middle of the cat and mouse game the team has going on with those behind the attacks. She finds herself in the thick of things and handles herself well.

I really liked all of the characters in the book. They all have their own personality and even the secondary characters are interesting. As a reader I am left with more questions than I started with but and at least this time I don't have to wait years for the next installment.
