It took me a while to actually get past the first chapter and force myself to read this book. It took quite a few more chapters to be invested. And a couple more after that to be hooked.
This is a really good book, but the start is slow. The size of the book, itself, is daunting but you have to push through the first hundred pages or so to really like it. It gradually gets better and better.
The ending was good and can be left without a sequel, but personally, I like at least two sequels. It's been awhile since this book came out so I'm thinking that's not gonna happen. But I'm gonna hold out hope anyways.
