It was an enthralling read overall! I’m excited to see what the author has in store next. From what I gather, this author appears to be new or early-career, and if she is self-publishing, I’m incredibly impressed by her.

That said, I believe the book could benefit from the guidance of an editor. The writing style seemed to shift noticeably between the first and second halves, which affected the flow of the story. Additionally, there were several grammatical errors and gaps in the plot that might have been easily addressed with another set of eyes during the review process.

Despite these issues, the story itself was engaging, and I look forward to following this author’s journey and growth in future works.
