The Foxe & the Hound by R.S. Grey

hmm.. I liked this book.. But I also kind of hated it. I loved the idea behind the story. She goes and adopts a dog that she really has no idea how to take care of. She finds a nice vet who can help her out and they fall in love. That's freaking adorable. Buuuuuuut I hated Madeleine. She stressed me out. I am by no means a put together person. Seriously I have a child, 2 if you count my husband, AND I DO. So my life in generally is chaotic and amazing. I would never bake my landlord bread because I couldn't pay rent. I absolutely do NOT put clothes in my oven. She was a freaking mess and she didn't seem to care all that much. I think that's what bothered me. She really didn't try to get her shit together. At 27 you are adult enough to know you have to pay rent. She is a real estate agent but has only sold 1 house. Instead of complaining about co workers, maybe she should have put more effort into it. Or I don't know, find a job she actually wanted. Or at least one that had a steady pay check until she could find her dream job.

Okay so yeah. Madeleine was my big issue with this book. There were a lot of funny parts and it was still cute but it just wasn't my favorite.
