Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris

5.0

I love Sookie and I will miss her and all the characters in and around Bon Temps. Harris' Sookie books (hehe) are fast, well-paced, endearing yet surprising and sometimes gruesome novels. We bid a fond farewell to Ms. Stackhouse and her cohort in this thirteenth volume of the series. Things are wrapped up--stories lines tied into not-always-pretty bows, relationships end and begin, life ends and goes on. I am satisfied with how Harris ended Sookie's tales, something that is very hard for me with book series of such length and which I hold so dear. I can only hope Sookie fares well in the future and her life calms and settles to a peaceful existence, as she well deserves.

A big, huge thanks to [a:Charlaine Harris|17061|Charlaine Harris|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1307925926p2/17061.jpg] for so many years of great reading.
