Worst in Show by Anna E Collins

3.0

Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for an advance reader copy of Worst in Show.

Worst in Show is an adorable romance about Cora and Leo. Cora helps her grandpa run Happy Paws. When her Pop is injured and there is the threat of a new dog boutique opening next to the business (Canine King opened by Leo), Cora enters a dog show in order to win the prize money to help keep the business open.

My favorite piece was one of the You've Got Mail-inspired elements. Cora and Leo end up connecting anonymously through an online message board. I loved this part of the story because in their interactions they're simply themselves and you can see their great chemistry. This story is a slow burn, and if someone isn't necessarily a fan of slow burns, I think their online interactions are so engaging and fun that it would not feel like a slow burn.
