Best one in the series so far, finally got the long awaited Rowan and Aelin kiss. I love their relationship progression although I was a little confused at the beginning when Rowan made it to Rifthold. I felt like I had missed a chapter in the previous book or something based on some of the conversations between him and Aelin. Other people on Reddit said they were also confused at first but apparently there is a “deleted” chapter that goes into some of their relationship more in heir of fire. Also the jumping between all the different character chapters would draw me out of the story at points especially when I was enjoying a character and it switched to a slower chapter. But honestly this ends up paying off in the end bc all the characters connect and I did end up enjoying all the povs. Besides that it was so good, the first two books in this series feel slow now in comparison to HOF and QOS bc you are finally starting to see the build up of everything.  Excited to do the tandem read next!
