Although this is not my favorite in the series, it is in the top three. It has been years since I read this series and it was almost like reading it again the first time. There were so many important plot points that I had forgotten. I had forgotten Mia and Father Callahan and so many others that played such a large part in this novel. Although the tet makes small progress for the tower in this novel, it is mostly about bringing closure to Callahan's story and exactly what the title says, defending from the Wolves of Calla Bryn Sturgis.
