Reincarnation Blues by Michael Poore

A lovely story. Kind of Christopher Moore vibes but not as funny. I kind of hate when books jump through time and language never changes, I was willing to believe that we were getting the story kinda universal translator style, but a little more effort in differing the tone to separate time periods/lives would've been nice.

This was fun but slightly heavy-handed and a bit too hetero for me to love it. It would've been so easy to showcase more diversity but the opportunity was not taken. A more deft hand could've made this the best book of the year, easily.
I would recommend but probably would not re-read.
