Parents Weekend
by Alex Finlay
🎓 five freshman students ghost their parents during santa clara u’s parents weekend. cue panic, tiktoks, and law enforcement—because earlier that week, a missing student was found dead. Y I K E S.
📚 the book kicks off with the five (RIP to their group chat) and then switches gears to the students’ parents, each one shady enough to land themselves a Netflix doc. and of course, sarah’s chapters are peak 👑
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 the parental drama? juicy. the mystery? not as twisty as i’d hoped. the YA student chapters? a bit teen-dramatic for my taste. but still, it’s alex finlay, and i was turning pages like i was getting paid for it.
