Meet Noah Oakman. He’s a 16-year-old David Bowie fan who doesn’t know how to share his “truth” with his family and friends. He’s a great swimmer, but isn’t ready to express his desire to quit, so he continues to fake a back injury. One night at a party, Noah gets hypnotized by a crush’s brother. Soon afterward, Noah begins noticing small but obvious changes to the people in his life, which turn his world completely upside down.

I love everything about David Arnold’s writing! There was a lot going on in this book, but what stood out was the strong (and hilarious) friendship between Noah, Alan, and Val. The end of my school year was so hectic that this book took longer for me to finish than it should have. I need to reread it again someday in a much shorter amount of time.
