Continental Divide by Laura Harner

3.0

3.5*
A novel that has a deeply disturbing theme (child prostitution rings) handled very well. Whilst the kidnap and sale of the boys is going on, it is not the focus of the book but is there enough to make uncomfortable thoughts.
Jamie and Remy are two detectives who individually pick up on something more than just their own disappeareds and beome part of an Interpol task force. I like their interractions, especially Remy who obviously has some major demons of his own. Jamie was a bit confusing, came over as both tough and soft & whiny at the same time so unusually for a British character, I ddn't get him too much.
The ending is a bit of a 'No' but to be honest, anything else wouldnt have felt right. There are further books in the series so no doubt Jamie and Remy will be back again.
