I devoured this book the second I got my hands on it. I may be a bit biased but it has everything I love in a book. A forced political marriage, Intergalactic political drama, slow burn romance, and an intriguing futuristic society. I mean, I had no choice but to be immediately hooked what can I say? I fell in love with Kiem and Jainan from the start and found myself rooting for them the whole way through. I loved the careful examination of trauma and healing and their relationship that bloomed tenderly as they grew from detached strangers to a combined force all their own.
