Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances
by John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle
Maureen Johnson saved this from being completely awful. John Green's formulaic writing has become predictable and monotonous and he needs to stop using variations of the word "retarded" in his works. I'm a big Green fan but his contribution to Let it Snow is almost as disappointing as An Abundance of Katherines. While the individual stories are intended to be interconnected, there seems to be a disconnect between them all and I can't help but think that this was thrown together for the sake of publishing a work with three authors who wanted to collaborate on something rather than to create something worth reading. I'd rate the stories written by each author as follows:
Johnson: 4
Green: 3
Myracle: 2
This book starts off on a good note, creating the false impression that it'll end as well as it starts.
