The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin

It’s Baldwin, of course it’s immaculately written, every paragraph worth being in awe of. However, the political message seemed very weak. Maybe it’s because it was written 60+ years ago but i feel that it lacking a critique of capitalism leaves out a fundamental aspect of black (and brown and lgbt and all other) oppression. It however was beautiful in it’s description of growing up as a marginalized person.
