while not as good as book 2, the third installment of the series was vast and covered a lot of material. the early chapters are intense, as are the last chapters. there is a lot of slow, tactical war-talk throughout which I found boring and a pain to get through. as ever, I loved the relationships forged between each character and the author did a great job of tying up loose ends and  giving good endings to the characters. overall, this was a hard book to get though at times, but worth the effort. a very entertaining and worthwhile book, and series.
