Did not finish book. Stopped at 58%.
Honestly, I was just so fucking bored and I didn't want to waste more time reading it. I got about halfway through and 80% was just smut. While I can definitely appreciate some good smut, this was just excessive. Made me feel icky and borderline fetishising... The plot of the book thus far was the two finding ways to meet up at international events and then sneaking off and fucking?? I need more than that.
I did read the full plot summary after stopping and while I can see it does get better, I don't think it's worth it. Especially now that I know what happens. I don't want to read about the Queen being a homophobe. I can see that irl.
However, the book was really funny! I can appreciate McQuiston's humour and I did laugh out loud a few times. I also loved the characters of Pez, Nora and Shaan.
