The Korean Skincare Bible: The Ultimate Guide to K-beauty by Lilin Yang, Leah Ganse, Sara Jiménez

4.0

I am a big advocate for a good skincare regime, and have always been interested in the advocated 10 step skincare originating in South Korea. I learned that in South Korea, a beauty regimen is more than skin deep, it reflects a culture that promotes taking time out of your day to pamper yourself, and a recognition that beauty and health are interlinked. I read this in an evening, and had a lot of fun with it. I especially love that I have the Kindle version, so that I can refer to the book whenever I need skin advice and can make notes on key areas for me! I’m giving the book 4 stars because it was a fun, easy read that held my interest and left me wanting to learn more. It was also refreshing to step away from the SFF genre for an evening and left me inspired to explore another area of interest.

The book lost 1 star for me because there weren’t many images included. This is probably my fault for purchasing the e-reader version instead of a physical copy, but I still found myself wishing the book was more interactive.
