Be Frank with Me
by Julia Claiborne Johnson
Who doesn't love a book whose main character is 9-year-old who won't leave home without his spats and monocle? Frank is fantastic...adorable, brilliant, funny, weird and wonderful. When his reclusive Harper Lee-like mother locks herself in her office to write her second book in an effort to keep herself and Frank afloat, narrator Alice steps in to steer the listing ship. It's a rollicking, fun read with lots of depth and soul. Highly recommend.
