This was absolutely insane. For some reason I’m really poor at predicting things & I’ll often miss out on foreshadowing until the event itself has taken place, meaning that I probably get the most out of books like this. The entire thing was NOT what I was expecting at all (in a good way) — the idea of the game was v interesting albeit psychologically tormenting. It felt magical and chaotic and twisted my brain to pieces, but it was a fun ride.
(My only tiny lil criticism is that I wasn’t as fussed about the characters compared to Once Upon a Broken Heart.)
