A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor by Hank Green

4.0

Okay, as expected the sequel was not as good as the original. I absolutely love Si-fi but I also have almost no understanding of biology, chemistry, neuroscience, etc. so I spent this who book try to understand WTF was actually going on. Especially since the antagonist is an intangible thing and I couldn’t understand the motives of this…. Ummm…. Character??? I was disconnected the entire time. I would have liked Carl and their sibling to stay a more fantasy element that is never explained rather than one that is attempted to be explained. I had flashbacks to reading “a wrinkle in time” for the first time in 3rd grade and asking my mom to explain the 5th dimension to me and then crying when she told me that is wasn’t able to be explained
