Your Heart, My Sky: Love in a Time of Hunger by Margarita Engle
fast-paced
2.5
2.5 stars
This novel-in-verse tells the story of two teenagers in Cuba during the 1990s when citizens were starving as the government put on a show for the international community by hosting sports games.
It was a quick read, but didn't have the emotional impact it was intended to have. I found that the format just didn't give the reader enough of a connection to the characters.
