The Inadequate Heir by Danielle L. Jensen

3.0

I had absolutely no intent of reading the next book anytime soon. But in the last chapter,
when keris turned to Ithicana, that one sentence
changed my mind. I want to see more of Ithicana.

To be honest, I don't care much about Jarrah and I'm too confused about Keris to actually like him. Keris feels like one foot in good-guy-we're-supposed-to-like and another half foot in morally-grey-protagonist-with-good-intentions-we-like and the rest half in haven't-yet-decided-if-he-can-be-liked... It's plain complicated. I think we need to see more of Keris to conclude.
(I liked it when he screamed her name from the other side of the dam)

And it was fascinating to know the so many things that led to Aren's escape that we didn't know before.

Maybe bcz we already knew what was going to happen, the decision Keris made to save Jarrah didn't feel cruel or degrading to his character.

It was an Okay read. Let's see what happens.
