I think if this was a movie I would have accepted the classic romance tropes a bit more than I did?? I kind of hate a 3rd act breakup, I don’t usually like enemies to lovers, and I thought the buildup wasn’t as satisfying as I wanted it to be. Also sometimes the characters were just annoying? I saw someone say recently that so many romances are centered on grief and trauma as the catalyst for a “meet cute” and now I think about it all the time, and I’m not sure this book handled that in the most delicate fashion ever. Still enjoyable though, and I was kicking my feet a lil.
