All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

5.0

Eloquent and haunting, All the Light We Cannot see enraptured me. Every single page felt like a painting and while none of the novel was in first person, it felt as if you could truly read each characters thoughts.

The novel is written as a puzzle piece- each section unfolds yet another harrowing truth. Yet, each character emulates so much humanity (yes even some of the bad guys) it’s hard to not root for them.

And I think that was what captivated me the most. Every single character was so realistic, so raw, so filled with internal hope. They were all, well, human.
