The Glassmaker
by Tracy Chevalier
TPL challenge: a book published in 2024.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Tracy, if you read these reviews, I hope you know how much your work is appreciated. As a maker myself (not in glass but in other media) this novel was an excellent exploration of the joys and challenges of making. The plot delves into the deep history of Venice, Murano, and the Veneto; time really does feel different there! I notice some readers didn’t like the skipping stone image, but I loved it. This device allowed you to tell the story of a family through history, and the characters developed as we travelled through time. I will be recommending this book!
