A global pandemic has occurred, no one knows what caused it or its mode of transmission but once infected a person changes into something monstrous - a “Blob, Outer or Cluster”. Following the individual stories of people around the world, every person is impacted in one way or another. Each person sees the infection with a different lens; a priest centering a religion around the infected,  a scientist conducting experiments for a “cure”, or a family waking up to a bump in the night.

Inside Out is a super quick read, under 90 pages, and I gobbled up every second of it (no pun intended). I love how each story built on previous stories to have the reader gain more knowledge about the pandemic as the novella went on. Based on reviews I thought Inside Out would have been more gross, but it was wasn’t too bad. If you love pandemic fiction, Inside Out is definitely worth a read and a must read for any horror lover.
